With only 1,892 days until a newborn enters kindergarten, we want babies to have responsive and respectful care that will help them be ready for school and life.

This initiative is designed to improve the quality of care available to Infants and Toddlers.

The First Steps Initiative developed Ohio’s Infant/Toddler Guidelines. These guidelines will serve as the basis for on-going professional development for infant and toddler educators all across the state.
