The Akron Symphony Orchestra: From Concert to Classroom 2012
The Akron Symphony Orchestra (ASO) brings you a unique professional development opportunity designed to enhance the 2012 Concerts for Kids experience. In this four-session professional development module, participants will explore, through hands-on activities, small group work, multi-media presentations, and the concert experience the benefits of symphonic musical experiences on brain development, learning, and socialization. This 10-hour module is approved for Step Up To Quality and Ohio Department of Education professional development credit.

Akron-Summit County Main Library Resources for Early Childhood Educators (RECE) Lab
The RECE lab as a resource for Fall lesson plans and beyond! Displays, classroom resources and of course, books can help prepare you for the school year.
The lab is open during Main Library Hours-
Monday-Thursday 9 am-9 pm
Friday 9 am-6 pm
Saturday 9 am-5 pm
Sunday 1-5 pm

ODJFS online learning for Child Abuse Recognition
sponsored by The American Institute for Resuscitation (AIR)
Class can be taken 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Electronic payment is required. A test will be given before in-service credit.
